Miss Me When the Sun Goes Down Forged Bloodlines Book 4 eBook Lisa Olsen

I'm finding that the best way to review long series is to start with book one and update the review as I move through the books. In general Lisa Olson does a good job with this series. I have completed through book 10 but really feel like the series should have ended at book 8 (book 9 and 10 are 3 stars at best). Anja makes a good heroine, she does not completely fall into the trap of turning on the water works all the time, though there are more than I like in a strong character. My biggest complaint about the first 8 books is that if felt like the author held her punches. Powerful story arcs seemed to resolve themselves far to quickly (and neatly) at their conclusion, the romance(s) came up short of being really steamy (though I will say the heat turned up in books 9 & 10), and the back and forth - he loves me, he loves me not - seemed to drag on just a bit to much. My last qualm would be the timeline -at last count the entire 10 book series happens over about 2 years and I just can't figure out why it's so compacted, a longer timeline would have made events more believable. Olsen's work here is not up to the level of the heavy hitters but I have enjoyed the read.

Miss Me When the Sun Goes Down Forged Bloodlines Book 4 eBook Lisa Olsen Reviews

Anja leaves her heart in London and heads back to San Francisco with her ever growing entourage. She has taken on Maggie, Ellie and even a new position as the Jarl of the West, and she realizes that this is her time to shine, without a man helping, interfering or getting in the way; it’s time for her to become the strong confident vampire she wants to be.
This book has a little of everything, love, loss, life, death and even trust issues and that is just for Anja. You get a glimpse into the daily life and routine for the household, and a feeling for the things Anja needs to endure for the rest of eternity.
Talk about nothing going the way you expect, Anja seems to attract fans and enemies by the truckload.

This book does nothing to move the old romances along, makes them a bit more confusing in many ways but it is great seeing the evolution of Anja from the first book until now, there is going to be some tragedy and some trouble (like that is a surprise) and I still have no real idea of what to think about Jake and neither does Anja from all I can tell.

Rob is still in the picture, Bishop seems to actually be out of the picture for now (doubt that will last) and she is getting more powerful.

She is still a thorn in the side of The Order but it seems even they don't know what to do with her.

This is an amazing series and I can never put these books down until I devor them so keep them coming Ms Olsen, I am always in need of a great story and Anja seems to provide on every time.
this will be my second attempt. anyways here goes...so when my weekend hits after working at the zoo I like to read. scratch that. I like to read whenever I bloody can. every free second of every day I breathe the written words of authors I adore, discover, and rediscover. lisa olsen...god I love her! not only is she a really good author with major talent shes and awesome person! I don't know many authors that would message you on fb but she did, and it made my day haha (still think Gary Taylor is Rob). of course I finished your book asap! I finished it one day ago? two? ah the point is I finished it as fast as possible. I couldn't stop reading. in fact, my phone charger pooped out on me in my room...so I had to rush to my car so I could continue. yeah I read ebooks on my phone. lol yes I also have a kindle. no I don't like using it. yes I have tiny hands. yes the kindle is kinda weighty lololol. this is why i use my phone. WOO IPHONE KINDLE. anyways I ended up rushing to my car to plug this baby in.

the first book automatically drew me in. I couldn't get enough! I was a reading fiend. gentle massacred that first book in record time. lisa pulled me into the story 100%. I felt like each characters shadow or a fly on the wall I felt like I was there in the moments with each and every character for the good, the bad and the ugly. Miss Me When the Sun Goes Down might have been missing Bishop (god mega hot name btw!) BUT I got closer to Rob and now i'm stupid in love with him. her characters are so well developed. so loved and nurtured you feel that they are real. the plot is fantastic. everyone who has said this isn't your "regular vamp book" is absolutely correct. maybe meyers could have learned a thing or two from lisa? the plot is fantastic. this is such a cluster of a review haha. with each book, you get drawn in deeper and deeper into the world miss lady has created. basically you cannot go wrong with reading the Forged Bloodlines series. she pumps these babies out pretty quick. lucky for you all...the first 4 are out and you only have to wait for the next one(s).

in no way you will be disappointed by reading this series or any other books by her.

there are no words to explain how lacking my review is. 1 of capitalized letters besides "I" thanks autocorrect on my laptop. and 2 because she is that good there really are no words to describe this series.
WOW! Anja is one heck of a vampire that is all I can say. As this story moves along I find myself falling even more in love with it. From the relationship with Jakob as a sire to a boyfriend then knowing she wasn't for him, but still caring enough to not wanting to hurt him. To her Friendships with Ella and Maggie and even her Guards. I find that I wish that more people in real life had the humanity that Anja has and cares for people the way she does. And Holy Hotness can we just say that the romance is to die for. I have had my ups and downs about how I felt about Jakob through out this whole storyline but I truly feel that he does care for her just not as he thinks, and after the book I have completely fell in love with Rob, even though at one point I did want to smack him. But I feel that these things are what makes a book good. so if you haven't read this series, please do yourself a favor and start it. It is 100% worth every penny. Completely AMAZING!!!!!
