I will preface this review by saying I have read everything that KA has written (except the last two in the Honey series, not my thing). But I had to push myself through the first 30% of this book. Sex, sex sex. Too much and not enough plot. We are supposed to believe he loves her but there is nothing to draw us into that. Then they have a fight/miscommunication, puts his hands on her in anger....week later apologies are done and everything is all good & he's moving in! Ok, next issue I had was that the club has an issue with h getting with another brother almost 18 years after her husband died!?! Seriously I think that plot point was just ridiculous. I can see it being a problem soon after her husband's death but 18 years??!! And this plot was also kinda done in the first two books in this series. Find something new! And my final issue is that the MC/bad guy storyline is being drug out to the max! This book introduced some new bad guy characters but it didn't do anything to move that storyline along. Just add more names and confusion. The final book in this series better blow my mind with the resolution of this bad guy stuff because it has been going on for YEARS!

I don't know if I'm expecting to much from KA but I am giving lower and lower reviews. I honestly do not care what the interior design of each characters house is like. Every book now seems to be a giant pinterest board! Please give me some action (besides sex scene after sex scene) and give me some dialogue! I miss the KA of old I guess.

I love Kristen Ashley, her writing and her books. She creates characters that I never get tired of reading about no matter how many re-reads I might do. She weaves stories that I can never get enough of. Her books are longer than most and yet I never want them to end. Wild Like the Wind is one of those stories. What KA also does is write some of my top all time favorites alphas. Hound is now one of those alphas.

I am going to try and review Wild Like the Wind without any specific spoilers. Let me start by confessing that for the first few chapters of the book I could not stand Keely. Now you ask yourself "Isn't she the heroine?" Yes she is and I still could not stand her in the beginning. This happened to me also when I read Walk Through Fire for the first time because I could not stand High in the beginning of the book. Just in case you have not read Walk Through Fire (and if you have not you need to rectify that as soon as possible as it is my favorite book in the Chaos series along with now Wild Like the Wind) I will not give any spoilers for that here, just know that I adore and love High now so as you might guess my feelings for Keely changed Big Time. I do not want to spoil anything for you so I am not able to exactly explain anything just please read this book. I absolutely love and adore Keely now. Kristen Ashley brillance shown through as I continued to read this book. Keely is the perfect old lady for Hound. As for Hound...well WOW...there is so much I could say about my love for this man, but again, I do not want to say anything specific, just know you will love him too. There are new characters that you have never met in a Chaos book that you will fall in love with. There will be characters that if you are a fan of the series you will love even more. One thing I want to mention because I saw a couple of reviews that talk about how much sex there is in this book. Well there is and it is HOT. Melt your kindle hot so take that under advisement for when you choose to read this book. That is one of the reasons why you will love Hound so much...the man is HOT and I mean HOT. Do not however, let that stop you from reading this book if you are not a person who happens to like a lot of sex in your romance books. There is a beautiful story with so much heart and love and really all the feels that you will be missing out on if choose not to read it and in my opinion that would be sad because Wild Like the Wind really is spectactular.

Now we all must sit and wait patiently until January 2019 for Rush's book to come out. We have all wanted it and now his book will be the last book in the Chaos series. I would say that it will be hard to have patience, but I realized after having that thought that it really will not because truthfully, I will be sad to see this series end. I am more grateful than I can say to be able to re-read it as many times as I want as the years go by, but reading a Kristen Ashley book for the first time is an exceptional experience. Knowing I have another book in the Chaos series to read makes me happy. As I mentioned previously, Wild Like the Wind is now tied with Walk Through Fire as my favorite books in this series. If you knew my love for Walk Through Fire then you would understand how much I love Wild Like the Wind. Believe me when I say you need to read this book. You will not be disappointed as it really is Kristen Ashley brilliance.
In have purchased most every KA book since 2012 and it makes me sad to give this book 2 stars. I'm not sure what is happening with her writing but this book and the previous chaos book were not up to the previous writing standards I have come to love and expect from KA. I always loved that she tied up each book with an amazing epilogue. Even though her series are interconnected, each beautiful story had an ending that satisfied.

Also, Ignoring the HUGE cliffhanger in the previous book seemed really cheap to me. I know plenty of other authors do this but it saddens me to see her jump on that particular bandwagon too.

The character development just was not there for me which In turn made all the sex scenes feel off and I ended up just scrolling ahead. Despite their backstory that we were given snippets of in the previous books, it fell flat.

Having said that, I pre-order every thing she writes and will probably continue to do so even though I'm disappointed. I guess it's like rooting for your favorite team despite a bummer of a season. I still love her madly.

I hope she finishes the last book about Rush and resolves the outstanding plot lines in a way that satisfies her long time fans and readers.
