I was initially skeptical that the premise of this book could work. I was afraid that the best I could hope for was a poor imitation of a bad "Who's on first?" skit. It is not only an entertaining read, but a suprisingly cohesive story, combining several versions of the Cinderella story from different cultures into one seamless tale. The illustrations are luminous and folk artish. I will admit that I checked a copy out of the library before I bought mine (which is an absolutely pristine used copy), and by all means do that if you're not convinced. I won't be offended, I promise.

This book came in a timely manner and is filled with world wide Cinderella stories.
This book has great artwork and it's neat to read through it and see cultural differences and similarities. I think I'm more interested in it than my 3 year old, but it's a great way to explore different cultures by a classic story of Cinderella that we all know and love
THIS IS A BOOK THAT COVERS MANY COUNTRIES. NOT JUST THE AMERICAN VERSION OF CINDERELLA. KOREA, IRAQ AND MORE. THE ILLUSTRATIONS ARE LOVELY.
Everyone, everywhere, loves the classic fairytale "Cinderella." The idea to include versions from many cultures around the world in the retelling is very clever and the beautiful illustrations carry-out the idea perfectly.
What a great version! So many versions blended into one story! This is the favorite of my immigrant students because many of their countries are represented in one book.
My 8 year old daughter loves this new multicultural take on an old story. It tells the story of Cinderella from cultures around the world. Amazing illustrations as well.
